Who said outerwear had to be boring? Now, I understand from a practical standpoint why it makes sense to buy a coat that complements your wardrobe. But, who said that go-with-everything coat had to be plain or boring? Okay, I’m exaggerating the boring point a bit. But, seriously, I’ve only bought standout coats since 2012, and I wear my coats often. Take this leopard coat, for example, I’ve worn it like this before on the blog and countless other times.

Last weekend, I participated in a tour of the Central West End neighborhood in St. Louis. Stay tuned for more on that experience. It was a tad a chilly the day of the tour, so I knew I would have to wear my coat for a considerable portion of the event. So, my leopard coat was an easy choice because it’s bold, right on trend, and the perfect complement to my emerald and black ensemble.
You probably won’t believe this, but the coat is on sale right now for under $50! Under $50, y’all! Sizing? I’m wearing the coat in a size 4.
One of my favorite colors this fall is that rich, emerald hue. So, when I spotted the blouse I’m wearing in Burlington Coat Factory, I had to have it. It was just over $10 too. What a find!
The blouse was just what I needed to remix my favorite color combination―emerald, burgundy, and black―to pair with my leopard coat.
