Feline Fancy: A Leopard Print Coat

From Burberry to Marc Jacobs, leopard was spotted all over Fall 2015 runways. It’s no surprise, then, that there’s lots of love for leopard this fall. When I first saw today’s featured leopard belted coat, I knew it would be the perfect topper for fall. And, the best part? It’s under $80.

Coat—℅ Venus

I’m really fond of open rings. The Kendra Scott Branson ring and the J.Crew Redux ring are a couple favorites. The negative space created by the cutouts on the rings allows the skin to become an essential part of the accessory. So, they look different on everyone.

Back to the fierce leopard coat. The leopard print has a hint of blush in the base color, which makes it even more perfect for pairing with fall’s favorite hues, including burgundy and emerald.

Talking about burgundy and emerald, my Rebecca Minkoff Unlined tote in port and my Madewell Miral heels in gallery green, add the perfect pops of colors to this leopard coat ensemble.

Sizing of the Madewell Mira Heels? I had to size down a 1/2 size. I’m wearing a 7 1/2 and usually wear an 8.

By the way, the coat is fully lined and is an ideal lightweight coat for early fall and again in the spring. It has one button and a self-tie belt. It also fits true to size. I’m wearing a size 4.

I’ve been drawn to this old building in my neighborhood for weeks because of the striking color of the brick and it’s notable doorways. I noticed recently that it’s being rehabilitated, so I wanted to photograph it quickly before it changes.
