If you browse highlights from Fall 2017 runways, you’d quickly notice that wide-leg trousers and jumpsuits are popular. While wide-leg pants and jumpsuits for fall aren’t new, they’re projected to make a huge resurgence this fall. I’m thrilled because flared bottoms skim right over curves giving a super comfy fit, and jumpsuits add a lot of flavor to one-piece dressing. And, when these two trends combine, fashion magic happens! There’s no need to wait for fall to indulge. Today’s featured wide-leg jumpsuit, now on mega sale, blends the trends in a style that you can wear now and later.
Jumpsuit (on sale) | Sandals | Sunglasses (under $8) | Mac “Capricious” lipstick
This wide-leg jumpsuit (shop it here), available in dots (as shown) and a colorful print, is a versatile number. When worn as is with a strappy flat sandal, it’s the perfect breezy summer outfit. It can easily be dressed up with heeled sandals though. It could even be made appropriate for casual work places by adding a layer like a jacket or cardigan.
My local store got a huge shipment of these right in the middle of its tag sale. I’m fortunate because I got to try it on and noticed that it runs large. It’s so huge that I sized down two sizes to a size zero. Most reviewers seemed to size down at least one size as well.
The jumpsuit has a flattering fit-and-flare silhouette that I was immediately drawn to. It features side ties to cinch the waist as desired. The bottom is so voluminous and flowy that it gives the illusion it’s a maxi dress. Bet you couldn’t do this in a maxi dress though.
Overall, this wide-leg jumpsuit is a stunning piece that doesn’t require much styling. I wore metallic lace-up sandals and minimal jewelry to allow it to flaunt its stuff.
These mirrored aviators were a cool finishing touch. You won’t believe me, but the sunnies are under $8. They look just as luxe as similar designer styles, right?
