Mad About Plaid

I have a strange relationship with plaid. In general, I’m not a fan. Occasionally, there’s a plaid print I encounter that I just adore. When I first saw the Venus plaid sweater cardigan, I was instantly attracted to it.

Print aside, this plaid sweater has such a sophisticated silhouette and options for wearing it. Today, I’m wearing the cardigan buttoned at the top, which creates a chic cowl neck. When worn unbuttoned, the sweater looks like a draped lapel coat. I just love it! I’m also a fan of its current sale price of $37 (orig. $49).

Sizing? I’m wearing the sweater in a size small.

The cardigan is definitely the spotlight of this look, so I kept my accessories minimal. I wore my House of Harlow studs instead of my usual drop earrings, so my earrings wouldn’t compete with the dramatic cowl neck.

I also wore a couple of my go-to rings, the Kendra Scott Branson ring and my Berry Brand cocktail ring. My cobalt pumps added a fresh pop of color to the black and grey ensemble.

I’m finding ghost signs everywhere in St. Louis. I spotted this one near a location I’ve photographed before. Remember that Columbia Iron Works building? This old painted ad is on the wall of a neighboring building. I can only read a few letters in the ad, so I’m still working on identifying it.

Very lovely look and beautiful shots. I love plaid a lot and I have been eyeing this same plaid cardigan on the Venus website for a while now; good to know that it's now on sale. I'll definitely copy this same look because I love the way you styled it with the blue shoes.

    Have a great weekend.
