Last night was a special night in St. Louis. Celebrity makeup artist, Vincent Longo, was in town to celebrate the launch of his line at Soft Surroundings. I attended the event and had the honor of receiving a custom makeup look by Vincent Longo himself. That’s right! The artist who has created face designs for Naomi Campbell, Heidi Klum, Sarah Jessica Parker, and several other celebrity clients, worked on my face too.
From how to contour my nose to how to create the perfect brow, Longo shared so many beauty techniques with me. I was especially tickled when in passing he mentioned that one of the contouring tricks he shared with me is one he also uses on Naomi (as in Naomi Campbell).
Lauren, the makeup artist with the flyest hair, started my look then Longo swooped in and perfected it. Take a look at that transformation below.
I must give a big shout-out to Soft Surroundings for organizing such an amazing event and for introducing another quality makeup line into the St. Louis market. I was immediately drawn to the products because of their lightweight feel, soft fragrance, and pigmented colors. I was also pleased that I had a foundation match in the color range of the line (Cocoa Riche #14 was my perfect match in the Water Canvas Creme-to-Powder Foundation). After my makeover, several of the products used to create my look emerged as favorites. Here are a few of those:
Vincent Longo Water Canvas Base Primer
Vincent Longo Creme Gel Liner (in Blu Raven)
Vincent Longo The Curl Mascara
Vincent Longo Pearl X Eyeshadow (in Etherea)
Vincent Longo Lip and Cheek Gel Stain
These products are all available in Soft Surroundings at The Boulevard in St. Louis. Stop by and play with the rich colors of the line.
Very nice. They did a great job.
