We’ve had the best weather in St. Louis this week. It’s been fairly cool with highs in the low 70s. Nice, right? This cooler weather is prompting me to seriously begin thinking about fall and fall fashion. You’ve seen my post on faux leather finds in the off-price market. In today’s post, I’m spotlighting another fall trend—leopard. Yes, leopard, the new neutral, is back!
In an attempt to hold on to summer a bit longer, though, I’m pairing a leopard pullover sweater with denim shorts. The pullover sweater is worn over a camisole to add interest. Orange snakeskin wedges, purple agate earrings, and an old Gap duffel bag complete the look.
I’m linking with Mix and Match Fashion for the Summer Style challenge today.

Back in the day, I used to purchase a Gap leather handbag every year. They were luxe-looking and quite stylish. I’ve had this duffel handbag from the Gap since the summer of 2003. Timeless beauty, right? Recent bag collections at the Gap have gotten my interest again, like these two-tone leather pouches and these colorblock crossbody bags. |

The animal print sweater is a great piece – Almost like a neutral, I think!
I agree, Lisa…almost like a neutral indeed 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!
Love this look! Your nail color is awesome by the way!

Thanks, Ellie! The nail color has been a favorite this summer. It's OPI "you're such a budapest" I found it in a Nordstrom Rack too.
Love that the sweater is from TJ Maxx–one of my favorite stores! I also think it's a particularly well-done leopard–there's more dark coloration in this version and somehow that ups the sophistication. For me, anyway! This will be a great transition piece for now AND fall. And those shorts are super cute as well!

Hey there, fellow Maxxinista! I love TJ Maxx too. That dark coloration you speak of is exactly what drew me to this sweater. Thanks for stopping by, Tara!
That sweater looks great on you…I think I need one just like it 🙂
Thanks, Tara. And, yes 🙂
Just found your blog, thru bloglovin
Yes I remember when GAP used to offer a nice bag each season,
sorry I didnt keep any of them.
Yours is really nice
Welcome, Kate! That's so cool.
So glad someone else remembers those Gap days. There are two other Gap leather bags I really regret getting rid of. This duffel is the only one I kept.
Love the leopard pullover. This weather has been A-MA-ZING, and it's had me thinking fall fashion too!
