West Elm Opens in Saint Louis Galleria

It’s finally happening, St. Louis!  West Elm, the home furnishings retailer, opens its first store in Missouri in the Saint Louis Galleria Mall today.  West Elm is best known for mixing clean lines, natural textures, and global accents to create one-of-a-kind, affordable designs for modern living.

Yesterday, I got a sneak peek of the new St. Louis store.  It’s a must-visit!  You may want everything, one thing, or nothing at all, but you will leave West Elm feeling inspired.  The store is practically a work of art!

West Elm boasts a number of free in-store services to meet the needs of every customer, regardless of design expertise.  The Pattern Palette system, for example, aims to make design easy by providing mix and match patterns (chevron, ikat, and stripes are clear favorites), color-coordinated textiles, and accessories.

If the thought of designing a space makes you nervous, though, West Elm also offers a free consultation with a home stylist.  The stylist will come to your home.  And, did I mention that that service is free?

To demonstrate its commitment to supporting artists in their local communities, West Elm is selling the arts and crafts of eight St. Louis-based Etsy artists, including Gallery Zoo Art, Belles and Ghosts, Sucre Shop, Sprouted Designs, ReAuthored, Two Wheel Design, Grindstone Design Studio, and Artistic Agrarian.  Having seen the work produced by these artists, I’m so proud to be a St. Louisan!

To celebrate the store opening, West Elm is hosting a $2000 gift card sweepstakes.  Other opening specials include 20% off bedding and 15% off office furniture and accessories.

Disclosure:  West Elm invited me to preview the store before opening day.  As always, the opinions and ideas expressed are my own.

How fantastic, MissySue! I saw your soaps in-store. I love that they are natural and vegan by the way. I'll definitely be purchasing some of your products there.
