Reliable Winter Basics: Jeans and a Sweater

It’s been icy cold in St. Louis this week, think temperatures in the 20s.  I was so cold in the outfit I featured yesterday that I knew I needed to dress much warmer the next day.  So, instead of my usual skirts or dresses, I reached for jeans, a chunky sweater, and a puffer coat.

My primary mission in dressing on this freezing day was to stay warm.  Stylish details like stripes, gold buttons on the neckline of the sweater, and a faux fur-trim on the hood of the coat, though, added interest.
