Remember that vintage $1-$2 sale I attended at the City Museum last November? It has taken me this long to finally get my items dry-cleaned and altered (where necessary).
Today, I'm sporting the plaid skirt I purchased for $1. It was originally a midi length skirt, so I had it shortened to just above the knee, a much more flattering length for my height/shape.
Yesterday, I planned for a simple look—a crisp white shirt paired with the plaid skirt. It was so cold, though, that I had to add a cardigan. Here's the final look.

Unbelievable find, right? My only regret is not purchasing the other 4 skirts I had picked out at the vintage sale. I was trying not to get carried away just because items were cheap.
DeleteSo cute. You're inspiring me to get back into thrifting. When I lived in Ann Arbor I had a lot of luck but now being in Durham, NC I'm struggling....
ReplyDeleteI hear you, Tracyata! Would you believe I only started thrifting (seriously) last year? I'm now hooked. Good luck finding gems in NC.
DeleteI really like the skirt, awesome price.
