In yesterday’s post, you saw me sporting a new blazer from Forever 21 (double knit blazer in rust). I purchased it on the weekend for $29.80, so I could create the look seen in Going Out: Coffee, Curls, & Cupcakes.
I deliberated over the purchase for a minute, though, because I already own a couple orange toppers. Both are cardigans, but good alternatives to a blazer. I had to make sure, then, that the blazer would be adding real value to my existing wardrobe, so I consulted the Fashion Thesaurus.
How to Wear an Orange Blazer:
1. Casual stripes for moving around on the weekend:
Dress—Max Studio via Marshalls
Shoes—Jeffrey Campbell c/o SoleStruck
Dark purple tights—Dolci Calze via Marshalls
Bag—Vintage via Borough Vintage
2. A splash of orange for a casual work day:
Top—Loft
Skirt—Gap
Shoes—Me Too via DSW
Dark purple tights—Dolci Calze via Marshalls
Bag—MICHAEL Michael Kors via eBay
3. Layers of orange (monoblock) for Sunday brunch:
Dress—Rachel Roy “Isadora” via Macy’s
Shoes—Jeffrey Campbell c/o SoleStruck
Dark purple tights—Dolci Calze via Marshalls
Clutch—Aldo
In addition to its versatility, this Forever 21 double knit blazer is so well made. The knit looks and feels luxe, and the lining is impeccable.

Yes yes yes! You can do so much with a blazer that color and cut. Great looks girl.
I just pinned the brunch look – I am in love with that color combo!
Totally cute…I'm thinking I might need this 🙂
Love them ALL!
@Sing: Right. I can totally see this on you too, Sing!
@Taylor: Cool! Can't wait to see how your rock it. I was excited to discover that they paired well because I love that dress from Rachel Roy.
@TaraMixandMatch: For sure! I rarely shop in F21 because the items don't usually look very luxe. This blazer, though, looks like many of the higher priced alternatives.
@Sal: Thanks!
Great outfit … I love the dress… I'll try to find a similar one … in my country 🙂
ooh yay!! I bought an orange blazer from F21, too. Mine doesn't have that saucy leopard lining, but I love it all the same.
I'm taking notes on your styling! xoxo.
