New Domain
Economy of style has shed her blogspot url and set up house at economyofstyle.net.
Why a .net?
Two years after I started my blog, I was prepared to acquire economyofstyle.com, but it had just been purchased by someone else. Darn it! The owner of the .com had it parked and still does, so I decided to wait to see if I could acquire it later.
I contacted the owner directly recently and she let me know that a good url could cost up to $20,000. Still interested in owning the .com of my blog, I asked her to give me a quote. She returned and said she may consider selling the url for about $1000. So, I immediately started exploring other options and a .net url emerged as the best one.
Looking Back, Looking Forward
The switch to the new domain had me looking back at some old posts and also looking forward. Not surprisingly, I made this change as I was making some changes in my life—I recently moved from Lexington, Kentucky to St. Louis, Missouri.
Talking about looking forward, my 4-year blog anniversary is fast approaching (August 26th) and I am brainstorming ways we can celebrate together. So, be on the lookout for that.
Peace,
Psyche

I had no idea you moved states. That's so exciting! Congrats on the domain change. Can't wait to see what you have in store for us, in the future. 🙂
So glad to see you today. I've been missing your posts. School is about to start for us and I'm looking for some fashion inspiration. 🙂
Its good to see you blogging again. I missed your posts. Congrats to you and your upcoming blogging anniversary and your move!
Com or net…I have missed you..Congrats on the anniversary and the move..Lots of changes and I wish you happy smiles in all of them…
CONGRATS and keep the fashion coming 🙂
Welcome to St. Louis. PLEASE share the stores where you find your wonderful finds. I have lived here all of my life and I'm a bit jaded on the "shopping" here.
That is freaking highway robbery!!! I felt the same way about livelifeinstyle.com. Some financial company has that url, but there's no place to contact them about buying the url from them. But I think I like my .com with the dashes.
