I hope your Memorial Day—a time for reflection and celebration—went well.
Here is a look at some of my Memorial Day weekend styles.
Friday:
I went to the movies with my hubby. Is it just me or are movie selections limited for this time of year? We actually attempted to watch Hangover 2, which was sold out for the entire night, and were instead forced to watch Priest. I wore colorblocked tee with my new denim shorts and my new studded wedges. A green skinny belt and pink agate Danielle earrings by Kendra Scott added a couple splashes of color.
Tee—Gap
Pants—Loft
Belt—Talbots Outlet
Shoes—Kelsi Dagger via Marshalls
Earrings—Kendra Scott (Danielle earring in pink agate)
Saturday:
I went to brunch after my early morning Zumba workout. I am now in Zumba 7 times a week y’all! Can you say hooked? Anyway, for brunch, I wore my new floral print tiered dress.
Details in Fresh Flowers Meets Flirty Ruffles post.
Sunday:
I attended the Kentucky Reggae Festival, which was hours and hours of outdoor fun complete with live reggae music, Jamaican food, and perfect weather. My bluebird graphic print maxi dress from Express was a huge hit at this event. You know those standout items in your closet that you get tons of compliments on every time you wear them? Well, this maxi is one of those items for me.
Dress—Express
Shoes—MICHAEL Michael Kors via Marshalls
Monday:
By Memorial Day, the hubby and I were exhausted, so we went out for a late lunch. I pulled for my casual chic outfit from last Thursday. Of course, I was not too tired to stop by a few stores after lunch.
Details in Casual Chic Outfit post.
Diggin those dresses!

xoxo
Love the outfits! However I'm loving the hair even more. Would you consider doing a post on your hair?
Your hair is so fly. I love it.
Thanks @Sing! The dress styles available at this time of year are amazing.
Aww man @L of Avid Accents! I was still there at that time…probably up front dancing while Everton Blender was performing. We are going to have to plan to meet up because I am always passing through Louisville.
Hey my dear @Seeker! Thanks mucho!
Thanks @Kimmie6992! Sure, I will do a hair update post on the new cut soon. I do have a few hair posts on the blog right now. You may find the following one interesting: http://bit.ly/iyzrxu. There are a couple collages of my loc styles and loose styles (prior to the tapered cut).
@Manecoarse: Thanks! I have really been enjoying this tapered cut.
I really love that Maxi dress! So chic
