Clothing Swap

Last Friday, I attended my first clothing swap! The event was organized by some fellow women professors. It was lots of fun, I was able to get rid of some clothing I no longer wear, and I left the party with some items that I love for free! I am so excited about future swapportunities.

Here are some of my favorite items I acquired in the swap.

1. Blouse—Dolce & Gabbana
    Jeans—Seven

2. Navy, knit, pencil skirt—Dolce & Gabbana

3. Black shirt dress—Eddie Bauer

My absolute favorite find is a vintage dress by Ben Barrack. I almost passed on it, too, but saw the potential after some gentle encouragement from fellow attendees. I plan to have my tailor shorten the dress to about the length in the picture on the right.

Have you been to a swap?  What were your experiences?

Haven't been to a clothing swap, but would love to be involved in one. Love that black dress, good thing you saw the potential.

I have never been to a clothing swap but I love all the goodies you came back with. Dolce & Gabbana?! Yes! You look fantastic in all of them. 🙂

You picked up some great items. I've been to a few swaps. Swaps are a great way to rid your closet of items you hardly wear and fill it with a few items you will. Checkout meetup.com for swap groups in your area

Wow. I would love to go to one. I'm going to look for ones in my area. What a great opportunity, and you really scored some nice pieces.
