Simply Stylish Start

Here we go. I am not having many planned (as far as outfits) Mondays lately. But, there are always certain reliable basics we can turn to when in a bind. A purple buttoned down shirt with three-quarter length sleeves meets a navy, box-pleat, A-line skirt. A croc skinny belt and menswear-inspired burgundy patent leather pumps complete the last minute look.

Shirt—Old Navy
Skirt—Gap
Shoes—Massimo Baldi via Marshalls
Belt—Ann Taylor

Grrr! I’ve been stalking a similar (or the same) box pleat skirt on the Gap site for a while and as soon as it hit a decent sale price…poof, no more in my size. :o(

Great outfit and you said it best with the title, simple and stylish.

Oh That Girl: Don’t you just hate that? Have you checked out the stores? I got this one in store on the weekend, and there were quite a few sizes available in my Gap. Also, it was $10 less in store that the current online sale price.

Oh That Girl: Hope you found one!

    Colson: Thanks for stopping by!

Penny-pinching-princess: Whew! I appreciate it. I hate when my morning are a whirlwind.

    Seeker: Aww…thank ya!

Fly Tie: That belt is like a chameleon. It is tan, but seems to blend in with any color scheme.

Enc: That shape has the most flattering potential because I am larger on the bottom. It just skirts over all that 🙂

Anjeanette: I appreciate it. Thanks for coming by.

I like everything here. You can take each piece and break it out 10 years from now and it will still be wearable, thats what so great about classic pieces.
