Looking Back, Looking Forward

Mocha, my nude. Amidst the color craze for spring this year, the nude shoe has emerged as a hot trend. Apart from balancing and blending in with all the bright spring colors, the nude shoe has a special ability to lengthen the leg—an appreciated gift for us vertically challenged women.
I found my go-to nude shoe in this two-tone pump. It is mocha with a black strap and gold buckle accent, just enough flair to glam up any look. The shoe has a rounded toe and a chunky heel for additional height, both very up-to-the minute, yet timeless features.
These pumps are classic and would be a good investment at full price. So, it was a special pleasure to get them for just $29.71 at a weekend sale at Macy’s.

Thanks for that Budget Babe. I thought I was the only one who cared about details like that 🙂 I love the lining and also the beautiful leather soles (not pictured) on Tahari shoes.

I own a beatiful pair of strappy nude shoes that are the exact color of my skin but I’m having trouble pairing them with something in my wardrobe. Any ideas?

Great for you, Lala! The good thing about a nude shoe is it goes with a variety of colors because it magically blends right in. So, you can wear nude shoes with blacks to the bright colors of spring. Check out my recent post “A Warm Visit” where I wore these shoes with a kelly green and yellow combo. I think the shoes worked quite well.

Good luck! Let me know what you come up with.

That’s a nice shoe. I love how it can go mod or modern. It would make my pasty sticks look even more pasty, however! That’s why I go for black and brown and red.

I like how you put that Enc–“it can go mod or modern.”

And, it is cool to know what works best for you. I was not too sure about the color of these shoes until I tried them on, and they surprised me.
