Fall’s Most Comfortable Denim Trend

I wasn’t kidding when I said I hadn’t worn my jeans since going into quarantine. My uniform for being bored-in-the-house-in-the-house-bored prioritized comfort. So, I’ve been rocking sweatsuits and oversized dresses. St. Louis-based Soft Surroundings piqued my interest, though, when it launched its latest denim collection. You see, Soft Surroundings is synonymous with comfort, so if anyone could make jeans super comfortable, it’d be them. Today, I’m sharing a comfortable denim trend and my IT pair from the entire collection.

What I’m wearing:

Target blouse | Soft Surroundings jeans c/o | Mesh squared-toe sandals

Kendra Scott earrings c/o | Christian Dior scarf | Pat McGrath lipstick (Elson)

My favorite pair from the denim line is the Ultimate High-Rise Frayed-Hem Crop jeans. For size reference, I’m wearing them in a size 6. They’ve got a flattering high-rise waist, a luxe-looking blue wash, and an ankle-flaunting crop length. The icing on the cake though? These jeans are so soft and smooth. I wore them 3 times last week. No exaggeration.

They require no effort for styling. I simply threw on a white blouse, and I had a look. By the way, this blouse is from Target. I own it in two colors (white and beige). The lightweight fabric, relaxed silhouette, and slightly puffed raglan sleeves make it quite special. It has an oversized fit, so I sized down to an XS (shop it here).

My squared-toe sandals are from Zara. The mesh detail makes this simple style so interesting.

You already know. I’ma huge fan of twilly scarves because they’re so versatile. Go here to see 6 practical ways to wear one.

My scarf is by Christian Dior and features the popular Dior Oblique print. I splurged on it because I wanted something featuring that must-have print in a style I knew I’d wear a lot.

6 Pretty And Practical Ways To Wear A Twilly Scarf

Scarves are indispensable accessories. During the winter, they protect our necks with style and comfort. When it gets warmer, the right scarf can function as a throw or a swim cover. One of my favorites, especially this time of year, is a twilly scarf. The long and narrow silk scarf is the ultimate fashion accessory because it’s so versatile. You can rock it as a bracelet, headband, belt, and bag adornment. In today’s post, I’m sharing 6 stylish ways you can wear one just around your neck.

In the video below, I’m styling one Dior twilly 6 different ways. Like something in the video? I’ve linked the details of each look below as well.

How To Spice Up Your Style With A Winter Scarf

When the temperatures dip, layering becomes more important than ever. Scarves, then, become essential style accessories. Honestly, I can’t think of a winter outfit that can’t be improved by wrapping a fabulous scarf around your neck. They keep our necks (and even our faces) warm, and they can easily refresh our outfits. To demonstrate, I’m taking a basic sweater and giving it new life with a bright scarf.

What I’m wearing:

Sweater (on sale) | Scarf (similarsimilar) | Boyfriend jeans | Booties c/o

Lip: Mac “Ambrosial” | Nails: Essie “Aruba Blue”

Okay, this sweater isn’t totally basic. It’s a bright fuchsia sweater with a sassy back slit. From the front, though, it looks a tad basic. To give it new life, though, I added a chunky yellow scarf. This scarf is the perfect complementary hue to create a fun color blocked vibe.

For the rest of winter, I’m challenging myself to have fun with scarves. I’m going to let them transform my winter style. Whether I’m using a scarf to mix prints or block colors, I’ll be allowing my scarves do more than keep me warm. You too?
