I’ve been talking a lot about trends on the blog. The leggings trend, the sporty chic trend, and the power suit trend are a few examples. What I’m most excited about in fashion and style this year, though, is the movement to become your own mixmaster. Is your style a little bit sporty and a little sophisticated? Mix those styles. Do you like stripes and African prints? Rock ’em together.
What I’m Wearing:
Zara shirt (option, option) | Jeans | Coat | J.Crew pumps (love these J.Crew sandals)
Linea pelle bag (old, option, option) | Lip: Mac “Ambrosial” | Givenchy Sunglasses (options)
As you can imagine, I’m especially fond of this direction in fashion. I love statement prints and bold colors, and I love mixing them together even more.
Take this green striped tunic, for example. I found it on clearance in Zara for under $10. The green stripes are quite chic on their own. But, I knew I could make the top even more funky (and more me) by playing with color and print.
In today’s featured look, I decided to mix in a little animal print with my Linea Pelle bag. This was an easy choice because leopard goes with almost everything. I also plan to wear the shirt with my yellow crossbody bag (seen before here) because green and yellow are magical together.
To add a cool block of color in this particular look, I wore my J.Crew Factory city coat in a beautiful jade color.
