Give Your Style an Edge with a Grey Coat

I was so thrilled to see neutral grey named one of Pantone’s Fall 2017 Colors. There’s a quiet sophistication about grey. It’s effortless as an accent color but can also easily be worn as a standout. It’s one of my go-to colors during the colder seasons because it’s a wear-with-everything neutral, but it packs some punch. When I saw today’s featured J.Jill Chelsea Coat, then, I knew it would be a perfect addition to my wardrobe, a piece that could add some edge to my fall style. Here’s how I’m wearing this grey coat right now.

The combination of a tunic and leggings anchors so many of my casual fall looks. The combo is comfortable and versatile. I can add additional layers to make it warmer when necessary. And, recently, I needed to quickly dress up my ‘uniform,’ so I reached for my grey coat. Magic happened, y’all!

My grey coat is super soft with luxe topstitching details. My favorite feature though? No doubt, the stand collar! That collar detail gives the coat a hip and modern vibe.

Lip: Mac “Carmine Rouge” (I really want to get my hands on Mac “Rouge en Snow”)

Location: Contemporary Art Museum, St. Louis

Thanks, Tarah! The pleated back detail on the tunic is stunning.
