How to Rock the High Neckline Trend this Fall

Mock necks and turtlenecks have silhouettes you either love or hate. For me? It’s all love. I find high necklines to be so sophisticated and versatile. And, there are a few classic styles on sale right now at Madewell (like this, this, and this). Today, I won’t try to upsell the high neckline. Instead, I’ll just show you how cool that little detail is on a midi dress I’ve had on repeat this fall. I’ve worn the dress everywhere, from running errands to brunch on Sunday.

Stripe midi dress | Ankle boots (old, option) | Chambray shirt (similar)

Earrings | Mac “Herione” lipstick

When I saw this dress at Madewell, I immediately saw all the styling possibilities. It has classic stripes that go with everything. More importantly, its silhouette makes it the perfect go-to dress for fall layering. You have the option to layer over or under this gorgeous piece.

Since it’s fairly warm in St. Louis again, I added a chambray shirt as a light layer on top of the dress. It got so hot that I just wore the shirt tied around my waist.
