Shopping Fall Colors on Sale in the Summer

Now that August is here, all I can think about is fall and fall style. I’ve been trying to stay focused in the midst of massive summer sales by only shopping items that I can wear now in the warm weather and later in the cooler months. In addition to styles like my BCBG pleated maxi skirt that’ll transition effortlessly into fall, I’ve been shopping fall colors too.

Have you seen the Fall 2016 Pantone Fashion Color Report? In addition to the usual earthy tones, there are some beautiful pops of vibrant colors in the report. One of those playful colors is lush meadow, a rich and elegant green that’s about the same hue as this Venus cold shoulder top.

This shade of green seems like it will pair well with earthy tones as well as more exuberant colors like yellows. This green also looks great with my OPI ‘Purple Palazzo Pants’ nail color.

For a weekend look, I paired my cold shoulder top (only $24) with my favorite dark rinse skinny jeans (under $30).

I added my J.Crew Elsie pumps in dusty cedar for a fun pop of print. If you need a new pair of leopard pumps, this style is on sale, and sale is on sale. These $300 pumps are now under $100! In addition to the great price, I bought the pumps because they’ll pair well with fall styles and colors.
