The Wrap Dress as a Wardrobe Wonder

The Maryam Garba wrap dress is such a wardrobe wonder. Its stretchy fabric nicely hugs the curves, and it’s classic silhouette, which cinches the waist, flatters all shapes. This dress also comes in a couple rich colors—the blue I’m wearing and a beautiful green.

Dress: c/o Maryam Garba (also in green)

Shoes: J.Crew (old, similar)

Clutch: Mango

Earrings: Kendra Scott

Rings: Kendra Scott, Kendra Scott (on sale)

Watch: Movado (also in silver)

The dress was a perfect travel companion on my vacation in Mexico. It unpacked and needed very little ironing and looked breezy and beautiful for a night out in paradise. It’s so versatile, though, that it looks just as great in the city. I wore it recently to an event I attended with Howard. To tone down the sex appeal of the plunging v-neck, I wore a camisole underneath.

With it’s standout, floor-sweeping style, this dress doesn’t need much accessorizing. I wore my favorite earrings, the Kendra Scott Caroline earrings in ivory pearl, and a couple rings only. For a fun touch, I also wore my geometric clutch, a jute bag I found in Mango for just $20! If you’re shopping for something similar for the summer, you should also check out these funky clutches:

Sizing? I’m wearing a size 6 in the dress, but a size 4 would be my perfect fit.

Can’t beat those prices on bags at Mango, right? See what else I purchased at Mango recently by visiting my Embracing Bold Prints for Spring 2016 post. If you love cool prints, you’re going to love the print on the Mango belt blouse I’m wearing in that post.

Thank you so much for the kind words about the locations in my posts. I feel lucky to live in South City St. Louis because there is such an abundance of culture and history evident in the spaces around the neighborhood. Whenever I move around the area, I find something new and exciting. I’ve been glimpsing the bridge shown today on my way to the gym for weeks. I finally decided to revisit for this photoshoot and discovered that it’s actually no longer in use.

Wishing you a wonderful week!
