Heavy downpours. Chilly mornings. No matter what the weather brings, nothing pulls an outfit together like a functional and sophisticated trench coat. I rounded up my favorite new styles in 7 Chic Trench Coats for Spring 2015. Today, Hayet and I are teaming up to show you how we wear our classic trench coats. Missed my interview with Hayet? Find out why I think she’s so cool here.
You must read about who inspired Hayet’s classic chic look. Stop by That Hayet Rida.
I’m wearing my favorite Gap white tee and some Old Navy The Rockstar jeans. Can’t go wrong with a white tee and jeans. The piece that cinches this look together, though, is certainly my Marc New York trench. Remember when I found this trench for an amazingly low price during a Marshalls closing sale? I got it for $29.40 instead of $278. Two years later, this remains one of my favorite trench coats to throw on.

For me, no look is complete without essential pieces of jewelry. I’m so excited about the pieces I’m wearing today. You’ve seen me wear the J.Crew Fireburst bracelet (sold out) again and again and again. Well, I found the matching earrings at Happiness Boutique for under $20! Happiness Boutique is an online retailer carrying an extensive collection of statement jewelry. Wait until you see the other pair of earrings I got (coming to a post soon). At Happiness Boutique, by the way, shipping is always free and its customer rewards program has cool perks like free clothing and jewelry.
My J.Crew metallic stripe Elsie pumps (sold out) are always a good choice. This classic pump with its just-right 3 1/2 inch heel is so comfortable and chic. I’m currently closely watching this colorful d’Orsay Elsie and this black and white printed leather Elsie. Both pairs are currently on sale, but I’m waiting for the prices to get a little lower, and they will.
