Fashion and Philanthropy unite at Union & Fifth

Today, I’m responding to the call from Union & Fifth to style a blue Chanel bag. Ooh la la! Union & Fifth, based in California, is a one-of-a-kind store that allows you to reduce, reuse, and give back to the community simultaneously. Founded by two sisters-in-law in 2012, Union & Fifth operates as a non-profit, designer consignment store, giving 75% of its total revenue to do-good organizations like Achieve, a summer program for low-income students.

Customers of Union & Fifth shop deeply discounted luxury goods and get the added bonus of supporting important causes. By the way, Union & Fifth acquires its merchandise via donation. So, if you’ve just de-cluttered your closet for the new year, consider donating your excess items to the store. You’ll receive a free bag or free shipping label to facilitate the process and your unwanted clothing can do good. Win-win situation, right?

Back to the styling challenge. I thought my look should celebrate Union & Fifth’s mission, so I chose colors that are uplifting and motivating. The look is luxe, too, because Union & Fifth is committed to offering a luxury experience via its website.

Keep up with the beneficial and rewarding work of Union & Fifth by following on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
