Styling a St. Louis-Born Jord Watch

For style mavens, a watch is much more than a timepiece; it’s an essential finishing touch to any outfit. Just when I thought my watch collection was complete, I was introduced to Jord watches, a company committed to producing innovative, natural timepieces. Get this. Jord creates unique, premium quality timepieces using sustainable woods from all over the world. Wood watches! And, the company is based right here in St. Louis. Supporting local is super easy when it means supporting a fashion-forward company like Jord.

I’m wearing the Jord “Sully” watch in black and maple. It retails for $139. This watch boasts a bold face set in a frame that has a 41mm diameter. Go big or go home, right? This piece is such a standout because of its contrasting colors, which really showcase the beautiful woods from which it is crafted.

Location: Entrance to the Saint Louis University Museum of Art

At the moment, Jord watches are unisex. If you aren’t a fan of watches with larger faces, there are several smaller watches like the Fieldcrest and Ely pieces. I hear, too, that an exclusive women’s collection is in the works.

Unboxing the watch was quite the experience. This timepiece is simply magnificent.

Beautiful! I love watches. I have two right now — a bronze and silver one — but have been looking for one that will stand out. Thanks for sharing this!
