Weekend Style

Today’s post shares what I wore to brunch and a movie yesterday. My J.Crew matte crepe tee is worn over a sleeveless chambray shirt, and paired with ponte knit leggings. A print pump, beaded clutch, and colorful gem earrings add finishing touches.

What I like about this look is that it includes a couple items I altered to better suit my needs. I had the J.Crew tee hemmed because the cropped length makes it more wearable for me. I also removed the collar and sleeves from the chambray shirt. The collar on the shirt wasn’t stiff enough and the sleeves were usually too bulky for layering. So, I got scissor happy and transformed the shirt into a sleeveless one with a mandarin collar.

Thanks so much, Nic! I try as much as possible to keep my mixes anchored by common colors.
