Cropped Sweater Over a Dress

Cropped sweaters have won me over this year! You too? The abbreviated tops have been a mainstay for a few seasons, but I’ve avoided them because, well, displaying my abs wasn’t desirable. Having invaded several Spring 2014 runways, though, cropped sweaters are causing quite a stir this year.

If you’re like me and not interested in showcasing your midriff, cropped tops are perfect for layering. I’ve worn my cropped sweater over a button-front shirt for an effortlessly hip take on layering.  Cropped sweaters are perfect toppers for dresses too. In today’s post, my Anthropologie striped day dress gets a new look when worn with a black cropped sweater. The short sweater is the ideal length for pairing with this high-waisted dress.

Aww thanks, Cassie! I debated omitting one of the prints, but decided to just go for it 🙂
