I just returned from NYC earlier this week. On travel day, I wore a casual denim-on-denim ensemble complete with comfy flats. Since I was unable to photograph that outfit, I decided to recreate it for today’s post. With a little inspiration from Olivia Palermo, though, I took that casual denim-on-denim outfit and spruced it up a bit.
An ivory tuxedo jacket with black lapels adds some polish while maintaining the menswear theme. A multistrand pearl necklace, lace clutch, and red pumps add feminine touches.
Location: Kingshighway/Magnolia entrance to Tower Grove Park, St. Louis

I’m considering removing the shoulder pads from this jacket. This jacket has a drapey, relaxed feel, so the shoulder pads seem to stand out too much. |
