My Perfect Fit: A Dress From eShakti

It’s a perfect fit!  I had the opportunity recently to shop eShakti, an online women’s clothing store that allows custom changes (from the sleeves to the neckline to the length) in the style of any garment carried in the store.  Say what?  Yes, this service exists and custom changes are offered on any of the sizes, 0-36W, carried in the store, and at no extra cost.

I was excited to put eShakti’s service to the test after my first visit to the company site.  The retailer carries dresses, tops, skirts, and cardigans, but let me tell you, the dress selection is like a dress lover’s dream.  Prints, solids, snazzy silhouettes, and so much more.  After just one visit to the site, I found the perfect dress for Spring, an obi sash gingham wrap dress.

Normally, I would’ve passed on a dress like this one because of its below-knee length.
Who wants to buy a new dress and then pay for tailoring?  At eShakti, though, I get to
play designer and tailor right from my computer.

Since I’m only 5’4″, I prefer my dresses to fall just above my knee.  Fortunately, eShakti allows me to change the dress to suit my preferences and body.  In a series of steps (as seen below), I chose a standard size 4 (of course, you can choose a custom size by entering all your measurements), I entered my height, and then I entered my desired length.  Easy!

About 10 business days after submitting my custom order, I received a perfectly-fitting dress.  Actually, it’s the best-fitting dress in my entire wardrobe.  No doubt.  I was also impressed by the quality of the dress. The details are impeccable.  The material is soft and flowy.  The dress looks and feels luxe.

This dress fits like it was made for me.  In some regards, it was made for me 🙂

Have you shopped eShakti?  If you haven’t and the store offerings meet your fancy, eShakti is offering 20% off to my readers using the code: ECNMYFSTYL74 (valid until March 20th) The code can be combined with gift coupons and gift cards too.  Who doesn’t love compound savings, right?

Disclosure:  I received the eShakti  dress free of charge for review purposes.  No monetary compensation was received for writing this post.  As always, all the ideas and opinions expressed are my own.

Now that is a beauty of a dress. I'm in love with the sash and the collar. Very unexpected additions.

Stunning! I love the sash on this … rather envious that we don't have eShakti here.

Thanks, Wendy! It's unfortunate that international shipping is not available at this time. Let's hope that changes in the future.
