Prabal Gurung for Target in St. Louis

Y’all know I was serious about leaving my bed early on Sunday morning to shop the Prabal Gurung for Target collection, right?  In South City, St. Louis, shopping Target designer collections is always a breeze.  You can usually arrive at Target about 30 minutes before store opening and be first in line.  Yesterday, it was raining, so the few of us that arrived early just sat in our cars until about 5 minutes to store opening.

Overall, I was pleased with my decision to shop the collection early.  I got the item I most wanted, the apple red, full skirt dress. I was surprised, however, by the absence of several items from the collection.  There were no jackets, shorts, nor flats in my store.  The flats not being there was disappointing because I wanted the yellow ones.

I tried on several items and purchased three of them—the apple red dress, the white tee with mesh, and the floral crush print tee.  The red dress and white tee are classic items I envision myself styling and restyling.  The floral crush print tee, on the other hand, was a last minute buy to own a piece with the striking, signature print from this collection.

I purchased the red dress (on the L) and the white tee (on the R)

Did you shop the collection?  What did you get?  What was the shopping scene like in your local area?

Hi I got there like 7:45am and sat in my car. The store I went to did not have many items. I like the white mesh shirt and my target did not have it. I did not feel like driving all over. But I got the black n greyish skirt you have on the right and I got the the black and floral dress-love it-it has floral design in the center, front n back and its like a chiffon type material. Thanks for the heads up on the collections.

Wow, Val! You scored. Great selections. I, too, was quite surprised by the absence of many items. I didn't even bother doing store availability checks before heading to my store. Oh well.

That red dress fits you perfectly!

After a weeklong work trip, I just couldn't get myself out to the Brentwood Target to shop. I'll probably check it out on a future trip if there are still items left.

Thanks, Rachael! That's too bad you didn't get to go out. I try to stay clear of Brentwood, though, that location gets so much more traffic.

Glad you got some lovely pieces from the collection, getting there early paid off! Shame they didn't have the flats though 🙁

The things you chose from the line really work for you! Love the white tee and of course the beautiful dress! Worth waiting in the rain for!
