Teal and Taupe

Shop during the holiday weekend?  What did you get?  I purchased one item, a teal pencil skirt by INC.  The skirt was originally $69.50, but after sale on sale savings, I got it for $20.67.

This Fall, I’ve added a few knit, pencil skirts like this new teal one to my wardrobe.  I’m drawn to the versatility and comfort of this type of skirt.

In today’s look, the teal skirt is worn with a stripe tee and taupe blazer.  Ideally, I’d love to sport a yellow blazer like the Loft femme tuxedo jacket or the Old Navy pop-color blazer in lemon curd in this outfit.  So, I’m adding a yellow blazer to my wants list.

I love this skirt. I'm looking for a few stretchy pencil skirts that are figure-flattering but not so tight that they highlight all the wrong body parts – especially in a conservative office setting.

I heard that, Lynne. This INC skirt is tight with very little support. The knit is not substantial at all.

I found a brand–Thalian–in Marshalls and its ponte knit pencil skirts are quite figure-flattering without needing to cling to the body. I also like the fit of the Michael Michael Kors ponte knit pencil skirts. They have zippers and a bit of structure. The MK knit skirts are always in Marshalls and TJ for around $29.99 or $15-$20 on clearance.

Lovely outfit – I really like that colourful skirt on you! Very restrained in the sales too, you did better than I did I indulged a little in my favourite store at 40% off, hehe.
