In Five Shades of Grey, I shared five of my favorite grey finds for Fall. You see, in addition to Fall’s precious jewel tones, I tend to be drawn to the color grey this time of year. It’s such a staple neutral for building outfits.
For today’s Looking Back, Looking Forward, I’m wearing a casual outfit that pairs grey with navy, a classic color combination. The stripe sweater is in an off-season sale purchase from the Gap (under $20). This sweater has held its shape quite well, unlike a few other Gap sweaters I own. I regret, then, not buying it in the other colors, especially after this style was further reduced to around $8 back in March.

Thanks, Jen! Both purchased at discounted prices on the off-price market 🙂
Great outfit! I always enjoy seeing you in casual clothes. When I first discovered your blog I was teaching. We moved recently and I'm staying home. It's all about jeans for me these days!
Thanks, Stacey! My lifestyle has changed too and I'm in the process of defining a more casual style.
I really like your casual outfit. I have such a hard time styling jeans. Your hair is really cute this way!
Thanks, Lisa!
Really like the stripes with the jeans! Such a well put-together casual outfit 🙂
Thanks, Mica! When I purchased the sweater and tank, my Gap store had them on display like this (worn together). I totally adopted that look.
