Stripes + Flowers

It appears that the mixing prints trend is holding steady for Fall 2012.  I’m glad because print mixing has  provided new opportunities for expanding my current wardrobe.

I’ve owned the brocade, floral skirt featured in today’s post for several years.  It has always posed a styling challenge though.  I mean, what does one wear with a skirt made of an intricately woven shiny fabric with a tonal floral design?  Today, the answer is surely stripes!

Tank—Gap
Denim blazer—Express (similar)
Skirt—Context via Lord & Taylor
Belt—Anthropologie braided rope belt
Shoes—Tahari
Watch—Michael Kors via TJ Maxx (similar)
Pearls—Overstock
Earrings—Kendra Scott ‘Danielle’ (slate catseye) via Nordstrom

I love this! So different, but so cute! I would have never thought to mix patterns before! Thanks for the tip!
