The colorblock trend is still going strong and I couldn’t be happier. Colorful dressing is such a pick-me-up!
Today’s combination was another accidental discovery. I take photos in fitting rooms when I try on clothing, and I use the photos to decide what to purchase. I also share some of these fitting room photos in my In the Field with Economy of Style album on Facebook.
Anyway, on a recent shopping trip, I was wearing the orange skirt and purple belt featured in today’s post when trying on a pink tank in Ann Taylor. I didn’t purchase that tank, but when I looked at the photo I took when trying it on, I knew I had to recreate the look. Here’s that outfit.
Top—Old Navy (similar) (recent clearance buy in-store, $6.99)
Skirt—Anthropologie ‘Darlene Dobby’ (similar here and here)
Belt—J.Crew (similar)
Shoes—Tahari via UpperBid (similar)
Bag—MICHAEL Michael Kors Hamilton tote via Macy’s
Earrings—Kendra Scott ‘Nyla’
Hat—Bongo via Kmart
Sunglasses—Diane Von Furstenberg via Marshalls
Have a fabulous weekend!
BTW, the fitting room shot that inspired today’s look.

Ann Taylor (Concept Store) fitting room. I really like the cut of the Ann Taylor top, but my size wasn’t available. It was on clearance with an additional 50% off too. |
I have the bright green and blue in this top but either I got a big size because the arm holes are big and show my bra.
I am thinking about returning
I got a small, but I believe the XS would fit me better. I'm wearing the top today and my issue all day has been the scoop neck. I found myself having to pull up the front often to make sure my bra was not exposed. Good thing my bra was purple….haha!
Pink and orange is always a winner in my book! You look great!
Love the pink and orange together! Great colour-blocking look.
