Spring Style: Mint & Yellow

On my recent trip to NYC, I tried to pack items that could easily mix and match just in case my wardrobe demands exceeded the outfits I packed.  I knew I wanted to take my mint blazer, but I only had one outfit that would pair well with it, or so I thought.  I accidentally set my blazer down next to my J.Crew city mini skirt and it was a perfect match!

Today’s look shares that newly discovered combination—mint and yellow.  Of course, since it’s spring and all, might as well toss in a splash of magenta and some dots.

Top—LOFT (similar Loft shell)
Blazer—Forever 21
Skirt—J.Crew (City mini in other colors)
Belt—Uniqlo
Shoes—SE Boutique via DSW (similar)
Bag—MICHAEL Michael Kors

Bargain Alert:  Have y’all seen the cool Nicole by OPI 2-packs in Marshalls and TJ Maxx lately?  Often, the nail colors that end up in Marshalls and TJ Maxx aren’t the most desirable.  But, the 2-packs I picked up recently are totally haute!

Nicole by OPI polish sets.  $6.99/duo in Marshalls/TJ Maxx

I love this color combination and the polka blouse makes it that more special 🙂

Yes, it's like color me crazy 🙂

I totally understand not feeling bold enough to rock some combinations. I was a much more conservative dresser in the my last work environment. I took baby steps, playing here and there with colors and prints, and now I'm willing to step way outside of the box I used to be in.

I hope you can find one. I purchased this one about a month ago in Forever21 and it was in limited availability at that time. F21 did have three blazer styles in mint, though, so you may have some luck.
