Spring Blues

Who said winter had a hold on the blues?  Blues can be equally fresh for spring too.

This entire look was inspired by the Loft’s cotton island eyelet skirt.  With its modern cut and scalloped hem, this skirt had my attention at first sight.  I decided to purchase one recently at 30% off its retail cost of $69.50.  This skirt will certainly be marked down further, but Loft items have been selling out very quickly in my size lately, so I didn’t want to gamble on this one.

For today’s “feeling the blues” spring look, the eyelet skirt is paired with a chambray shirt.  Orange wedges and pink accessories add cool splashes of color.

I purchased the skirt in a size 6 (although the size 4 fit) because
I wanted to wear it slightly below my waist for more length.

I'm loving this look–that is a really cute skirt! Skirts are one thing I'm trying to add my wardrobe. I may own two skirts? Lol. Can you tell I need some fashion in my life? Thanks for the inspiration. Saving this look 🙂

I've been reading your blog for a while, and I really like your style. It's down to earth and wearable but still very polished. This may be my favorite yet! Just wanted to say hi and thanks for sharing such a great blog!
