Fashion Thesaurus: Five Ways of Styling a Tunic

I was instantly attracted to the Gap pintucked print dress when I saw it in-store.  It has three-quarter blouson sleeves, a banded round neckline, a button-down henley placket, and an allover chevron style print.

When I spotted the dress, I immediately started visualizing outfit possibilities.  It looks good on its own, but with minor styling, the dress easily transforms into the perfect look for many summer occasions.  This dress, then, is the center of today’s Fashion Thesaurus.

I like them all but my favorite is the office look – I am loving the green-on-green mix! I had an acid green scarf out with emerald green pants the other day and decided against it at the last minute… now I might revist that though!

That's a fave of mine too! You should definitely rock that green with green…sounds fantastic!

Yes. Yes. It is quite versatile indeed. I've been requiring this type of versatility of all new wardrobe additions 🙂

this is hilarious. I was just at Gap picking up shorts for my son and scored that adorable grey & navy striped sweater you wore a few weeks back (which I would have never bought unless I saw it on you). I saw this exact green shirt/tunic and thought "what the heck am I supposed to do with THIS?" and walked away. Now you tell me all the possibilities… and now I love it. funny timing.

Hahaha! Funny timing indeed. This dress does look a little drab on the hanger. I had already tried on another pintucked dress and was surprised to like it, so I immediately saw potential when I spotted this print one. The dress is big, so I sized down to an XS (and I'm no XS).

Congrats on scoring the navy striped sweater btw! Its so gorgeous. I see that they've been marked down further in-store too.

Love that you are showing this as a top and as a dress…how awesome!

Thanks. And, wearing it as a top was actually necessary because it has gotten strangely cold here.

I am just loving all the looks. My favorite is the outdoor festival. I didn't think that the one piece can be so versatile. Now I will be revamping my outfits.
