A few months ago, I received a HANAair professional hair dryer for review from the folks at Misikko.com. I was eager to try the Hana because its reviewers have dubbed it the best blow dryer on the market.
The HANAair professional dryer is a pricey tool, retailing for $334.99 (currently on sale for $194.99). It boasts several cool features, including ion technology and tourmaline & titanium oxide technology. But, would this professional dryer perform well enough to justify its cost?

to use a comb attachment (not included with Hana)
The Verdict: I’ve been using the Hana for a few months and it’s the best performing dryer I’ve ever used. When I use this hair dryer on its highest heat setting (it has 3 heats settings and 2 fan speeds), I get stretched and smooth hair with body in half my usual drying time. The results are particularly impressive since I have such a short hair cut right now.

Disclosure: I received the HANAair dryer free of charge for review purposes. No monetary compensation was received for writing this post. As always, all the ideas and opinions expressed are my own.
I have yet to find a good comb attachment. Any suggestions for fellow naturals?
Your hair looks very healthy. I love it! I had no idea that some blow dryers work better than others. I thought they all just dried hair. How often to you blowdry your hair? Do you ever flat iron it? What products do you use?
@Anonymous 1: Finding a good comb attachment is certainly difficult for us naturals. My favorite (the one in the photo) is the Willie Morrow comb attachment. It was made by Solano (and sold on Folica.com), but it has been discontinued. You can occasionally find it on eBay and Sears.com, but it is more expensive now since it is in limited supply.
@Anonymous 2: Thanks! I get my hair cut in its current shape regularly and the blunt cut/shape makes it look fuller. My hair is actually very thin. Recently, I've been blowdrying my hair every other week. I deep condition my hair every time I wash it with Darcy's Botanicals deep conditioner. I also use the Darcy's Botanicals Coconut Lemongrass Transitioning creme as my leave-in, moisturizer, and styler. I love that stuff. Those two products are my staples.
I've flat ironed my hair once since cutting my locks. I had it professionally done and it was a good experience, but I have no desire to do that again.
I bought one of these a few weeks ago, and haven't regretted it once. They're amazing.
@Kristen: How fantastic! It's a wonderful dryer!!
