Playing With Patterned Tights

Last year, I bought a pair of grey argyle tights from Target (see similar here and here).  Despite the classic and sexy appeal of these tights, I haven’t worn them much.  To ensure that I wore them today, I created an outfit around the tights.

Since the prominent color in the argyle pattern on the tights is grey, I opted for a grey skirt to anchor the look.  The skirt is paired with a white, long sleeve tee topped by a purple swing jacket for a pop of color.

Close-up on the argyle tights.

Tee—Old Navy (see here)
Jacket—Vertigo Paris via Marshalls (see similar here)
Skirt—MICHAEL Michael Kors via Marshalls (see similar here)
Shoes—Tahari via Marshalls

I must say that I look to your blog for outfit advice. Often I buy pieces and then don't take the time to think what can I pair this with until I look at what you have posted. Then I "get it". I guess I am a visual learner. I say all of that to say, thanks for what you do.

@Sing: Understandable! They provide such easy ways to update the wardrobe for fall 2011.

@Shulammite: Awww thanks! That's so wonderful. I've become so visual now, too, that I have to see outfits photographed to really "see" them and get it.

@Natasha: Agreed, girl! So glad you found me through Roshini. I adore her!

@CaramelNaps25: Thanks! My stylist shaped up my fro really nicely. I've been rocking a flat twist-out on my blown-out hair all week.

@Jani: They are pretty, right? I can't believe I hadn't worn them much.
