4th Anniversary of Economy of Style

When I started this blog four years ago, I was a graduate student struggling to accept my passion for style in an academic world in which fashion was seemingly denigrated.

I was bursting with perspectives on varying style concepts and beginning to use my training in economics to investigate ways of creating a style on an almost nonexistent budget.  At that time, there were inspiring trailblazers like the Budget Fashionista and Budget Chic, who were already openly talking about prices and discounts and style for the average woman.  So, I decided to dive into the world of blogging and created Economy of Style.

I’ve had to scale back a few times because of a demanding work schedule.  I’ve even thought about ending the blogging journey a few times.  But, you, my supportive readers have always served as critical encouragement to continue this journey.

Today, I am committed to building the blog and exploring new opportunities to expand the work that we do here.  This week, the Economy of Style Facebook page was launched and I’m already enjoying the opportunities to engage with you all more.

Thanks so much for your support!
