Instant Style in Chic Summer Dresses

A flattering dress can make you glam in an instant. Two of my favorite grab-and-go dresses for my casual vacation days are a Max Studio stripe dress and a BCBG jersey shift.  Both dresses are visually striking, lightweight, and hence effortlessly luxe.

Last Sunday, I had to make a quick stop by the mall to have an additional link removed from my white MK watch at a watch repair place there.  Since I knew I wouldn’t be out for long, I wasn’t inclined to spend time getting ready.  So, I threw on the BCBG dress and leather thong sandals and I was out of the door.

Yesterday, I made a last-minute decision to have my car serviced. Although not a glamorous event, if I am leaving my home, I want to look put-together. Besides, my dealership is across the street from a Home Goods and a Steinmart, so I knew I would be stopping in those stores. To get dressed in a flash, I grabbed my Max Studio stripe dress, brown leather thong sandals, and my new favorite straw bag.

    I just tried on that striped dress last night! I passed on it, but now I think I might have to go back and get it. Looks really cute on you! Did you think it ran a touch small?

    @Anonymous: Hey! Yes, I am usually one of two sizes in Max Studio dresses, and I did buy the larger of those two sizes in this style. So, size up and see if that works better for you. I have seen a few different cuts in this stripe style too. This empire waist style seemed to work best on me. Let me know what you decide!

    Cute dresses. Love throwing on a dress in the heat, too easy.

    @Sing: Easy breezy!

    @Shasie: So, you got a tiny wrist too! I usually have to remove about 4 links in MK watches. Luckily I found a place that would make any adjustments (remove links and put links back) for free after the first visit. After removing that last link, the watch was a tad too snug, so I returned to have a link put back in.

    Thanks @Andi!

    @Anonymous: Thanks for stopping by!!

    @Life as Leah: And, that visually striking piece can carry an entire look sometimes…

    Thanks @Meggy! It is a fave. That BCBG dress is not the best silhouette for my shape, but I loved it too much to pass on it. I think it works alright.
