Edgy Espadrilles

You’ve probably seen elastic espadrilles appearing in stores everywhere. Every time I see them, I try them on because my feet enjoy the comfort of elastic shoes. On my feet, however, elastic espadrilles look like, well…elastic shoes.

I was strolling through Marshalls recently and spotted the Kelsi Dagger Delana open-toe espadrille. I immediately thought, “that’s it! Slap some studs on an elastic espadrille and that’ll make them work.”

Okay, I know, elastic shoes with studs might sound like a recipe for disaster. But, check this, the stretchy fabric upper and slightly padded sole make the shoes so comfortable, while the silver studs make you want to sing “Who runs the world?” I am not really a fan of that song, but did you see Beyonce’s recent live performances at the Billboard Awards and on Oprah? Fierce! In my mind, I can dance like B.

Anyway, check out how the espadrilles make a few summer looks just a tad edgier.

That first outfit, so funky and fun. The wedges rock.

Love! I can't wear shoes without some kind of buckle or zipper so I am way envious. And I continue to love that stripey dress every time I see it!
