Do tell! Did you brave the massive crowds on “Black Friday?” I stayed at home for most of the day. There is just something about factors like sleep deprivation, crowds of people, and blaring ads, that do not seem conducive to smart purchase decision-making. Of course, there are steps that can be taken to maximize your shopping experiences during the holiday season and I am sure you are familiar with the widely available lists online.
I did venture out to some of my favorite spots in the evening and the fashionable deals were still available. Ann Taylor extended its 40% off to the entire day (although initially advertised as available only until noon). Target still had its supersoft, v-neck, Mossimo sweaters for $8.99. Loft still had its supersoft, cable, v-neck sweaters for $25. And, Marshalls and TJ Maxx had their everyday low prices.
Anyway, last Friday was really cold, which meant I finally got to wear my new Loft coat, purchased during the friends and family sale event and price adjusted after a subsequent markdown.
The look was casual—dark washed denim worn with a v-neck sweater and topped off with a grey, belted coat. A blue print scarf, black pumps, and an aubergine leather bag add finishing touches.

Honestly, I did all my shopping online. The websites have pretty much all the same deals, or you can usually find something comparable elsewhere.
Love the coat. Loft has been coming up with some great stuff this past fall/winter!
I'm with Bianca!!! I've NEVER shopped on Black Friday and have no plans on doing so in the future!
That coat is gorgeous! And yeah, I don't do crowds at all. So no Black Friday for me.
