Looking Back, Looking Forward

Going flat. Our feet deserve to take a break sometimes from stilettos. And, the summer is the perfect time to go flat since flat shoes are usually perfect partners for many summer looks. Today’s post features some of my favorite flats, shoes that have earned a permanent position in my wardrobe for their style and comfort.

1. MICHAEL Michael Kors via Marshalls 2. Banana Republic Outlet 3. Nine West 4. MICHAEL Michael Kors via Smartbargains
5. Kenneth Cole Reaction via Nordstrom

Here’s a pair that I would like to have. The ruching detail, patent light taupe color, low wedge heel, peep-toe, what’s not to love?

BCBG Max Azria Talina flat at 6pm.

You know I’m not a flats lady, but I think you’re right, sometimes we have to give some rest to legs and feet, at least for confort.

    Such pretty flats you’ve chosen.

Thank you so much sweetheart for your words of support.

    xoxo

You know Imelda’s policy on flats but it’s hard to argue with a animal print.

Amina: I am sorry about your back. You don’t have to miss a thing with the stylish flats out there though. And, Charlotte Russe huh, I’ve never looked at their shoes. I guess I am always lost in the jewelry section.

Leah: Thank ya. I am happy that I got them all way below retail by catching the right sale at the right time 🙂

Enc: Aren’t they nice. I am really drawn to that strange nude color lately. I just can’t find the shoes available in that color anywhere.

Secretista: Sounds like the perfect relationship to me 🙂

Shopaholic D: So yeah, flats can be cool! 🙂

Cheryl D: Ha! I just knew that you lived in stilettos, some mighty fine ones too.

Honeymoon: Thank you for coming by.

Seeker: I sure do know about you 🙂 Hope you are adjusting to your family’s departure.

Imelda Matt: Lol. I knew those would win you over. That’s my favorite pair too.

I am such a flats girl.
I like the way heels look with just about everything, but I love a couple things about flats:
    1. they’re comfy, or at least MORE comfy than heels
    2. they make outfits a bit less dressy, which is necessary sometimes
    3. if they’re crazy looking, it’s still ok because they don’t make it look like you WANT attention (unlike crazy heels)
    4. if you’ve got a short hemline going on, they de-sexify it to make you look cute and hot, not risking the sometimes hoochie look

Style addict: These are my faves.
