Kimono Glam

Until now. I have never found anything with kimono sleeves that I liked on me. But, the color and print—a delicate mixture of blue, black, and white—on this dress caught my eye. My interest peaked when I spotted a red clearance tag on it. The deliciously soft jersey dress has a v-neck and empire waist, both adorned with a decorative design. I think I like it.
I wore this dress recently with black ankle strap sandals for a casual evening look.

The title did the justice! The beautiful pattern and the high waisted cut (for me, it’s very important in a Kimono dress) are simply fab! Yes, it is a great great Kimono dress and really shows off your stunning figure xxxxxxx

That’s it! Next time I come north to visit the fam, you are showing me around to all the “spots”. Agreed? LOL!

I really like it … that is such an unusual color for an asian styled dress … just beautiful!

Thanks for including the detail, it made all the difference for me, because I could see that really sweet pattern!

You look great, as usual. That neckline is fantastic on you.

The dress is really cute, I saw that in dress in another color at TJMaxx and passed it up for some odd reason but it works for you

Berto xxx: Thanks. I think I love your image more though 🙂

Nywele: I was pleasantly surprised when I tried it on. I’ve tried to wear kimono styles before, and they just did not work out.

Cheryl Lynn: Ha. Would you believe I was just going to a movie? I just wanted to wear the dress 🙂

Capis: The 3 F’s huh! Thanks for coming by as always, Capis.

Budget Chic: It is quite striking. Details like the ones on this dress are deal breakers for me.

Nikki: I assume you’ve already tried your local Marshalls/TJ. So, it is unfortunate that you can’t find them there. My stores are overflowing with MS dresses. You might need to take a trip 🙂

Times of Glory: Oooh thanks! It took a long time to find one that was actually flattering. Others were just….not.

Oh that Girl. We’ve got a deal! You don’t even need to call first 🙂

Always in Style: Thanks for coming by.

Cheryl Lynn: I hope that is how it is written. And, yes she is!

Anon: So true. It’s definitely a mod translation of the classic look.

Imelda: Right! The image is amazing. Empire waists rock.

Seeker: Thanks. The fluidity of the dress is so summery indeed.

Secretista: And, I’ve had a whole lot of misses with kimono dresses. Now, that tata comment is a first for my flat chested self, so it must be the push-up Calvin Klein. Lol!

Enc: That neckline is a winner in my book. I like that it can be made more conservative by layering a cami or tank underneath for more wearing opportunities.

Suite B: Ooh. I wonder what other colors it came in. I, too, passed this dress over several times, but I am glad the red clearance tag was calling my name!
