New Kids on the Block

I know. I am not shopping for shoes these days. These pumps, however, had caught my attention in a NY Post article last month. So, imagine how I felt when I walked into Marshalls and saw them on clearance for, get this, $29! The leather shoes are packed with spectacular details—peep-toe, t-strap, adjustable buckle closure with gold hardware, patent leather lining, and a perfect 3 inch heel. It would’ve been easy to resist, but why would I?

Animal Instincts

So yeah. I am not a fan of animal prints. But, on a weekend trip to Marshalls, I found myself strangely drawn to these haircalf and patent leather skimmers. Immediately, I began imagining outfits that would not be complete without these shoes. So, I stepped out of my box and bought them.

Here is a casual look made very chic by the shoes.

Sparkle and shine forever. Metallics have been a hot trend for the past few seasons. And, I am sold on the idea that metallics are classics. To safely incorporate them in my outfits, I turn to accessories—a great choice for the budget conscious. A metallic bag or shoe can be the perfect finishing touch to many looks.

Today’s post features a few of my favorites. A vintage gold clutch and a quilted patent leather skimmer with a dainty bow detail fulfill my golden desires. A silver clutch and peep-toe pumps with a stacked heel, elegant bow, and cut-out details add instant glam to many looks.

Love at First Bright

I know. It is like 30 degrees outside and not even close to sandal season. But, what can I say? It was love at first sight. Not only do these sandals come in one of the season’s hottest citrus shades, orange, but they are patent leather with a timelessly chic t-strap. As if that was not enough to secure them a space in my shoe home, they also have a striking raffia wedge heel! So, you see; I could not resist.

Mocha, my nude. Amidst the color craze for spring this year, the nude shoe has emerged as a hot trend. Apart from balancing and blending in with all the bright spring colors, the nude shoe has a special ability to lengthen the leg—an appreciated gift for us vertically challenged women.
I found my go-to nude shoe in this two-tone pump. It is mocha with a black strap and gold buckle accent, just enough flair to glam up any look. The shoe has a rounded toe and a chunky heel for additional height, both very up-to-the minute, yet timeless features.
These pumps are classic and would be a good investment at full price. So, it was a special pleasure to get them for just $29.71 at a weekend sale at Macy’s.
