This Must-Have Shoe Will Complete ALL Your Colorful Outfits

This post is sponsored by Marmi Shoes.

My favorite spring and summer trends are bright and colorful. Yours too? I plan to embrace ALL the colors during the warm season this year. You’d think, with all the bright clothing that I wear, that I own a few pairs of shoes in neutral colors. But, no way. Who has time for boring shoes? I like my shoes to be colorful too. And, luckily, I found THE sandal that’ll complement just about every spring/summer color combination.

This must-have shoe is the Vaneli “Bena” sandal from Marmi, a St.Louis-based women’s shoe brand committed to offering fabulous shoes to every woman no matter her shoe size. Seriously, Marmi carries Italian-designed styles in sizes 4-13 at slim, narrow, medium and wide widths.

Exciting news. Starting Thursday, March 14 through Saturday, March 16, Marmi Shoes is hosting its ‘Spring Fashion Event’ at its St. Louis Galleria store. Marmi Bena Sandals

So, let’s talk about these Marmi Bena sandals. I was instantly drawn to them because of the standout watercolor print and sophisticated silhouette. The artsy print captures all the IT colors of spring and summer, making it the perfect choice to complete any outfit.

The standout print is perfectly balanced by the sophisticated silhouette–an ankle strap, 2 1/2 inch block heel style with a closed back.

When I unboxed this style, I immediately started imagining all the styling possibilities.

Thanks to the amazing weather last weekend, I got to wear my new sandals out and about. For me, they were comfortable right out of the box. By the way, I’m wearing my usual size 8 Medium, so they are true to size.

Like this colorway, but want a lower heel? You must see the Vaneli “Hillie” sandals. The geometric print on that style has a beautiful color combination as well. Also, if you’re a fan of slides like me, you’ll love the Vaneli “Hiba” slides. After much deliberation, I got that style in the orange suede, but they’re also available in fuchsia, taupe, blue, and black.

To demonstrate just how versatile my Bena sandals are, I’m sharing 3 ways I’ve been rocking them so far. In each look, the shoes totally make the outfit!

How To Reimagine The Women’s Pant Suit This Season

Power suits. Pant suits. Trouser suits. They’re all the rage in 2019. And, good news is, you can rock the trend in the way you like. Naturally, I’m drawn to the bright pant suit trend (see my favorite combination here). I’m also here for suits that are more laid-back and less structured. And, when those laid-back suits have green stripes all over, it’s a win-win situation.

What I’m wearing:

Blazer | Cigarette pants | Trench Coat c/o | Slingbacks (similar style for less) | Belt Bag

To create this look, I tried a brand I’d never shopped before. I simply couldn’t resist the super low price point. Get this. The stretch crepe blazer is marked down to $18 and the cigarette pants are only $11. For reference, I’m wearing the blazer in a size 4 (the actual tag says M), and the pants in a size 6 (again, the actual tag says M).

Now, you get what you pay for with these lower-priced brands. In this case, the coordinated pieces feature a stretch crepe that looks as chic as any silk jersey. The material doesn’t feel like silk though. All in all, if you’re looking for an unstructured set that looks good together and could be worn separately, this one is a winner.

To create a fun mixed print moment, I wore the green stripes with my snake print flats. This particular snake print is so versatile. They’re a super fun alternative to a wear-with-everything neutral.

The Slingbacks You Need To Update Your 2019 Style

Want an easy update to your spring and summer style this year? Get a new pair of shoes! Footwear had quite the presence on 2019 runways, in some cases, upstaging the clothing. We saw bold colors, embellishments, funky heels, and we’re loving it all. One of the styles we’re especially fond of here at Economy of Style is surely slingbacks. These modern styles have a whole new attitude. Whether you opt for heels or flats, slingbacks are great alternatives to your favorite pumps and sandals.

I bought the DVF watersnake leather style (this Franco Sarto pair is a more affordable dupe) below. The vamp is so sexy. The print will complement all my brights. They’re so comfortable too.

Go Bold: Colorblocking With Different Brights

No surprise. I’m obsessed with Spring 2019’s love of bold colors. What’s better than brights? Brights with brights, of course. I’ve been slowly acquiring fabulous bright separates because I want to do all kinds of color mixing this year. Today’s post gives you a glimpse inside my head. I’ve been dreaming about colorblocking brights. I’ve ordered the blazer, so I’ll keep you posted on the fit and actual color. And, you may remember the Slipknot flats (designer deal) from my fancy flats post.

Playing With Proportions: How To Wear Oversized Clothing

Super size it! 2019 is pumping up the volume. The oversized clothing trend is back in a big way, y’all. From voluminous tops to wide leg pants, the bigger the better. Now, convention tells us that we should strive to achieve balance when wearing oversized styles. And, that usually means, pairing voluminous pants with fitted tops (like this) or vice versa. But, there’s another way.

In this look, I’m pairing an oversized, slouchy sweater with wide leg pants. Volume on volume? Yes! The look also achieves balance because the sweater is cropped and its neckline allows for a sassy off-the-shoulder drape. Et voila. Balance.
