The Denim Jumpsuits Your Summer Style Needs

The denim jumpsuit trend just won’t go away. And, you know what, I’m so here for it. What’s not to love about a one piece wonder? You throw ’em on and done! And, denim jumpsuits add a little je-ne-sais-quois to my one piece wonder collection. And, the options at the end of this post might do the same for yours.

What I’m wearing:

Denim jumpsuit (size M) (similar for less) | Sandals | Denim head wrap

Gold hoops (want this set)) | Michele watch (40% off) | Anklet (option)

My jumpsuit is from Zara (check out a similar style for less from H&M here). I was immediately drawn to it because of its details, from its cuffed sleeves to its utility vibe to the pockets. It reminded me of a romper I regret getting rid of (see that 2015 oldie here).

Denim jumpsuits like this one make getting dressed so easy. More importantly, they make looking chic and sharp a breeze. I didn’t even have to try here. Ha. I tossed on some sandals, a head wrap (haven’t had a haircut in over 2 months), a mask (because safety first), and I was ready.

The Sheer Fashion Trend Spicing Things Up

Sheer is here! Want to show a little skin but not actually show skin? The sheer fashion trend might be for you. This trend, equal parts classy and sexy, is having a moment this year. And, the cool thing about this is there are options for every occasion. I’ll round up some favorite finds at the end of this post. I’m also sharing a top I’ve been loving in today’s post.

Style on the scene

I wore this top for a night out with Bumble BFF recently. The scene was the beautiful rooftop restaurant–Cinder House–at the Four Seasons Hotel. I paired the sheer top with wide leg pants for an upscale look. What I enjoy about sheer styles being trendy is the many ways we can style them in the name of fashion. For example, I could easily wear this same top with high-waisted shorts for a more hip look that would be suitable for any occasion.

Get Glam in These Non-Boring, All-Black Outfits

Yes, I wear black sometimes. When I do, I have so much fun with it. All-black outfits need not be boring. And, the moment I saw this Topshop Tufty jumpsuit, I knew it would be the perfect, non-boring, black number to add to my wardrobe. I actually wore it a few weeks ago to catch Ledisi performing with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra at Powell Hall.

Would you believe I found this Topshop Tufty Playsuit on sale for $30!?! Unfortunately, it sold out online before I could share the good news with you.

Party. New Year’s Eve celebrations. I envisioned this number being easy to grab for any occasion that demands an instant glam. The tufty detailing at the top and sleeves takes this romper to soaring style heights.

I’m wearing the romper with my go-to clear sandals. These barely-there sandals complement so much. Want proof? See them worn here, here, and here.

The fabulous thing about statement-making, all-black outfits is that they don’t require much in terms of accessorizing. Toss one on and go. I’m here for that, so I rounded up a few options at the end of this post. We all need reliable wardrobe staples like these, right?

My utility jumpsuit is another fabulous find from Red Dress (see my other jumpsuit find here), a new-to-me retailer. I knew it could be special because of the clean silhouette and the linen/cotton blend. I was so right. It looks and feels quite luxe in person. Using the site’s size chart, I determined I needed a medium, and it fits perfectly.

The jumpsuit has a drawstring waist, which looks amazing worn as is. But, I decided to jazz mine up a bit by belting it with my Gucci belt (see the belt also worn here, here, here, here, and here).

Peep my sandals? I’ve been debating getting a pair of the must-have platform sandals of the season. I grabbed this pair, which retails for on $32, and I’ve been wearing them with everything. If you’re not quite sure you’re committed to the style but want to try it, this pair might be a good starter pair for you as well. The Steve Madden pair, which retails for $69.95, is the one you’ve probably seen all over the gram.

All-white party in your near future? I got you. Today’s post will round up some fabulous all white outfits that’ll be perfect for any occasion this summer. All White Outfits

When the occasion calls for all white, I always opt for a one piece wonder. And, y’all, when I saw this jumpsuit with all its dramatic ruffles, I had to have it. And, I know, it looks expensive. But, it’s not! This beauty retails for only $54.

All white outfits

This jumpsuit is my first item from Red Dress. I relied heavily on the size chart to determine my size. I’m glad I did, too, because I’d often just order a small, but I definitely needed a medium.

I was immediately smitten by the ruffles on the bodice of this dress. 2019 is the year to be a little extra with your style, and this jumpsuit gets that.

I’m always here for a sexy plunging neckline as well. The jumpsuits gives us a double v-neckline. It dips in the back too.
