This Lush Gift is Perfect for Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is next Sunday! Can you believe it? Luckily, I found a gift that’s perfect for my mommy just in time. She LOVES bath/body products, and I can’t wait for her to see all the Lush goodies I have for her.

Last Saturday, I attended a special influencer event at the newly expanded Lush store in the St. Louis Galleria. I was excited because I’d never stepped foot inside Lush before that event. I know you’re thinking, “how Sway?” Y’all will have to give me a pass because my sensitive skin makes it challenging to try new products. So, I never even gave myself the chance to learn that I, sensitive skin and all, can live the Lush life too.

Lush Mother’s Day Wrapped Gift Set

During my visit to the store, I got to explore the limited edition collection of  bath, body, and shower products for Mother’s Day (shop them here). And, the best news, all of these products are available in a uniquely wrapped gift set. Get this, the products come wrapped in a biodegradable coconut husk and natural latex plant pot that’s filled with plantable seeded paper flowers. Furthermore, instead of wrapping paper, the pot and products are all packaged in a bright fabric Knot-Wrap. Of course, the wrap is reusable! Lush is so responsible and thoughtful about every step of running the company, from buying ingredients to making products to selling the products. I’m a fan!

Here’s a peek inside the gift set. It includes 2 bath bombs, 3 bubble bars, a shower gel, a shower jelly, a soap, and a body butter. Everything smells like a tropical heaven.  Get details on each product here.

My mom is going to flip when she gets this set. Any mom would enjoy this set. Who doesn’t need the perfect products for an at-home pampering session, right?

By the way, during my visit to Lush, I received a facial skincare and beauty consultation. I took home all of the products recommended for my skin, and I’m already blown away by them. So, I’ll be back with a review on those products that I’m loving. Wait until you see how pigmented the lipsticks are!

Gift Happy Feet this Holiday Season

During the wintertime, my feet take a beating. From dry and rough heels to stained nails from polish left on too long, my poor feet suffer from serious neglect. This cold season, I’ve vowed to give my feet a little extra TLC. And, my go-to products for doing just that will make pretty cool gifts too.

emjoi micro pedi

I’m a huge fan of emjoi products. I’ve reviewed them all: the emjoi Epi Slim, the emjoi Micro-Pedi, and the emjoi Micro-Nail. Of all of these products, my ultimate favorite is the emjoi Micro-Pedi. This battery-operated tool uses a micro mineral roller processed from stone to safely and effectively buff and remove any dry, rough, or callused skin from the soles. Give it a few seconds, and your feet will be baby soft. Seriously. When I saw that this tool was now available in a mini size, the emjoi Micro-Pedi mini (only $19.99), I just knew it would make the perfect holiday gift. Can you say stocking stuffer? Just add a few fabulous nail polishes, and give the gift of happy feet.

Gift Happy Feet

Talking about happy feet, if you haven’t slipped on a pair of the  J.Crew Lodge moccasins, do it today. Y’all, the thick faux-shearling lining makes these the coziest slippers ever. They do run small, about a half size small for me. So, I purchased one size up for the best fit since they’re only available in whole sizes.

Gift Holiday Glam While It’s on Sale

There are a few people (mostly family) that I make style purchases for during the holidays. The sales this time of year make it so easy to gift holiday glam too. In today’s post, I’m sharing a few of my favorite finds for the woman who likes to get jazzed up during the season.

Leopard dress c/o Venus (on sale, $14) | Sequin long skirt c/o Venus (on sale, $46)

For the friend who loves to stand out, you can’t go wrong with leopard or sequins, especially when priced so right. I mean, do you see the impeccable details on these two items?

A fabulous pair of shoes is my go-to for adding instant glam to any look. And, these statement pairs? They’re all on sale, y’all.

If it’s cold where you are, she’ll be spending a lot of time in her coat. Give her one of these  fabulous coats. They’re either already on sale or included in a current storewide promotion.

Holiday Gifts She’d Forget to Get for Herself

Spoil the woman on your holiday list with gifts she’ll use and adore but probably never get for herself. From a graphic dress she’d wear around the house for an entire lazy Saturday and Sunday to to the mug that’ll make her smile at every morning coffee, these holiday gifts for her will be perfect.

“I need a day between Saturday and Sunday.” I bet you couldn’t find a woman who’d disagree with what this sleep maxi dress says. In addition to being stylish and cheeky, the dress is soft and cozy too.

As women, we spend a lot of time focusing on being productive. What would it mean, though, to also focus on and prioritize our own happiness? I highly recommend the Happiness planner as a tool to help refocus those priorities.

The planner incorporates practices like positivity and mindfulness on every page to steer you right towards your own happiness.

Chances are, you’ve faced a situation or two this year that have prompted you to say, “I can’t even.” Why not add a little sass to tea time with a conversation mug? This one comes complete with a sweet message on the inside.

And, finally, candles! If she isn’t already a fan of burning candles, she’ll surely become one if you gift her the Capri Blue Iridescent Jar candle in Volcano and a Nest Fragrance candle in Moroccan Amber. They burn well and smell amazing.

The Support-a-Sista Holiday Gift Guide

Shopping for that super fly someone who has everything? Is that fly person yourself? No worries. I got you. This holiday gift guide is filled with unique and practical items she would love. I can vouch for the brands and products, too, because I own, use and love them. Furthermore, each business is owned by a black woman. So, gift shopping and woman empowerment convene on this list.

1. The Wrap Life. This Brooklyn-based company won me over with its sophisticated collection of handprinted, fashion-forward, African print head wraps. The lifestyle photoshoots around the launch of new collections are filled with style inspiration too.

3. Toni Daley. Want a commitment-free new look? Want to eliminate bad hair days? Consider a half wig by Toni Daley. I’ve received more compliments and requests for hair tutorials on this hairstyle than any other in the history of my blog. No hair tutorial is required though. I’ve been wearing a half wig by Toni Daley.
