Camp Redbook Celebrates the Fourth in Grand Fashion

Fun, fireworks, and fashion! Camp Redbook brought fashion to Fair Saint Louis at Forest Park, and it created a really unique and enjoyable experience. I had the pleasure of hosting the Christopher & Banks interactive style closet at the event.

Christopher & Banks, an apparel and accessories retailer for women of all sizes―petite, missy, and women sizes up to a 32―has over 500 stores across the US. And, last Saturday, we brought the latest collection filled with patriotic pieces in red, white, and blue to the patrons of Fair Saint Louis.

I enjoyed every minute I got to interact with new and longtime Christopher & Banks customers. Longtime fans of the brand were excited to tell me about how great they feel and look in their favorite Christopher & Banks items. New customers were thrilled to learn that Christopher & Banks has relaxed styles and sizes for everybody and every body.

If you stopped by Fair Saint Louis, you know it rained all day long. Camp Redbook was the perfect spot to stay dry and talk about ways to stay fly. We had all your fair needs covered too. Fashion? Check! Charging station for your devices? Check! Photo booth? Check! Snacks, drinks, and other freebies? Check, check, and check!

What to Pack for a Day at Fair Saint Louis

I’ll be hanging out at Camp Redbook at Fair Saint Louis this Saturday from 1:30 to 5:30 PM. Come out and join me! Plan your visit before heading to Forest Park, though, because Fair Saint Louis places restrictions on what you can take into the park. And, event security meticulously enforces the rules too. Here are the essentials that’ll be in my bag for a day at Fair Saint Louis, and why these items meet event guidelines.

What's in my bag for a day at Fair Saint Louis 2c

What’s in My Bag:

1. A small tote to hold my essentials. Event rules prohibit large bags with the exception of baby diaper bags.

2. A purse for your coins and ID.

3. A factory sealed water bottle (up to 1 liter) or an empty plastic water bottle to stay hydrated. We’ll have water for you at Camp Redbook too.

4. My iPhone to stay connected and to take photos. Fair Saint Louis doesn’t allow professional cameras with interchangeable lenses.

5. A blanket for sitting in the grass. Portable chairs are allowed as well.

6. Sunglasses to look fly while blocking the sun’s rays.

7. An umbrella, because rain is in the forecast, but only a small hand-held style.

Join Me at Camp Redbook at Fair Saint Louis!

Let’s fashion the Fourth! Join me at Camp Redbook at Fair Saint Louis in Forest Park on July 2nd from 1:30 to 5:30 PM. Let’s hang out, let’s talk about style, and let’s get creative in the on-site Christopher & Banks fashion closet. Yes, a stocked closet! Christopher & Banks, by the way, is an apparel and accessories retailer for women of all sizes―petite, missy, and women sizes up to a 32.

I got a sneak peek at Christopher & Banks’ July collection, and it’s perfect for summer, my friends. The super-soft and right-on-trend, embroidered denim shirt I’m rocking is from that new collection. When you stop by Camp Redbook, you can expect to see even more of my favorite new pieces by the retailer. Look for us in the Family Zone at Fair Saint Louis this Saturday.

I shopped the Christopher & Banks store at West County Mall, but you can find additional stores located in South County Mall, St. Claire Square, and the St. Louis Premium Outlets. And, since we all love a good bargain, I thought I should alert you to the affordable price points at Christopher & Banks. Comfy chic styles at great prices? You can’t beat that, right?

I’ll be hanging out at Camp Redbook at Fair Saint Louis this Saturday from 1:30 to 5:30 PM. See you there!

Mother’s Day Shopping at Kendra Scott St. Louis

A few years ago, I gifted my mother a few pieces of Kendra Scott jewelry. My mom has a very sophisticated style and loves to wear black and white, so I thought that colorful pieces of jewelry would complement her style well. I was right, and she has since become quite the Kendra Scott fan. Her collection of pieces is fast approaching the size of my own.

The idea, then, of hosting a Mother’s Day shopping party at the Kendra Scott store in St. Louis made sense for me. Last Sunday, I did just that with a few other bloggers.

The local Kendra Scott team knows how to throw a party, y’all. Mimosas, brunch bites, and the most beautiful touches to celebrate mothers were all on deck.

My mom lives at home in St. Kitts, so it was quite special to have her make a virtual appearance in the event. Our moms were on display in the store along with our favorite selections for Mother’s Day gifts.

I’ve been a fan of Kendra Scott jewelry for almost a decade now. Who knew that my purchase of a pair of Danielle earrings in Pink Agate would result in Kendra Scott becoming one of my favorite jewelry lines? As you can imagine, I have since amassed a large collection of jewelry from the brand. I’ve had to become more discriminating when making purchases to ensure that any new pieces I buy add value to my collection. I tend to gravitate towards the most unique pieces in new collections, those items that don’t look like anything else from the brand. Here are a few standouts from the newly-launched summer collection.

This collection introduced a stunning new stone—crushed abalone shell. That stone looks especially amazing on the Lauren earrings and the Layden necklace (shown below).

About two years ago, Kendra Scott began infusing more fashion-forward and edgy pieces into the brand. I was thrilled about that new direction and the pieces it introduced, particularly the new metals. Have you seen the Marci Statement Necklace in Mixed Metals? That’s a statement-making necklace, y’all!

This necklace has a sister—the Monroe Bracelet in Mixed Metals. Both of these items are the kinds of pieces you can throw on and not need any other accessory.

The Sayers Statement Earrings are another fairly unique set from the latest collection. I’m not sure that these suit my style, but I regret not trying them on last Sunday and will be returning to the store to do just that.

Have you browsed Kendra Scott’s latest collection? What are you favorite pieces?

Let’s Meet at Kendra Scott St. Louis!

Free this Sunday around 1 PM? Swing by the Kendra Scott store in Plaza Frontenac to shop with me. I’d love to meet you! We’ll sip, snack, and shop for our mothers (or ourselves). Your entire purchase during this event will be 15% off.

I’ve curated a collection of pieces that’ll be perfect Mother’s Day gifts. I have a mom who loves statement jewelry as much as I do. Check out those items and a few other favorites from Kendra Scott’s recently launched summer collection.
