Introducing The Road Trip Collection In Collaboration With Economy Of Style!

This has been some kind of year. Today, I come bearing good news. I’m beyond thrilled to share that I’m partnering with Gibsonlook on the Road Trip Collection, available on July 16, exclusively online at Gibsonlook. That’s next Thursday!

The Road Trip collection is in collaboration with 4 style mavens–Ashley Hargrove, Jessica Fay, Natasha Stoneking, and yours truly. Because the world looks so different for each of us right now, this collection has the kind of pieces that’ll suit your summer needs, no matter what you do. It’s stylish and comfortable, and I’m confident it’ll bring you as much joy as it does me.

GIVEAWAY: Talking about joy, want a chance to win one color of EVERY STYLE in the collection? Enter here (ends on July 15)

Gibsonlook collection

I’m sharing a sneak peek of one of my dresses. No surprise, it’s an off-shoulder style. Of course, it can be worn on the shoulders as well. This daisy print is so summer, but wait until you see the other classic it comes in! July 16. Lock that date in.

Gibsonlook collection

I’ve been sharing Gibsonlook collections for some time now (see here, here, here, here). I’m drawn to the brand because of its quality pieces that I can build many looks around. I also love that every Gibsonlook item comes in sizes XXS to XXL. And, the best part? Gibsonlook is affordable. Items in the Road Trip collection range from $42 to $85. To make the prices even better, I’ll have an amazing discount code on launch day.

The Perfect Summer Slip Dress

Target very quietly dropped a fashion collaboration recently. The megastore partnered with 3 contemporary designers. One of them, the Cushnie for Target collection (see entire collection here), immediately grabbed my attention because of its vibrant colors paired with sleek silhouettes. No doubt, I grabbed a Cushnie dress. It’s available in a few colorways, but this pink and red is my favorite (see how I else I rock the combination here).

Cushnie for Target

No surprise, I was instantly attracted to the Cushnie collection because of its vibrant colors. I was hesitant to actually buy a piece because slip dresses aren’t very forgiving. And, the way my quarantine eating has been going…enough said. This dress, however, has such a flattering cut, especially if you have hips.

Cushnie for Target

Sizing? I’m wearing a size 4. I’d usually have to size up, sometimes up to an 8, to allow dresses in this silhouette to properly skim over my hips. Not needed in this style.

In a color combination I absolutely love and a classic silhouette, this Cushnie for Target dress is a keeper. It’s a versatile piece that can be easily dressed up or down. I’m so thrilled I found one in my size.

2020 St. Louis Magazine A-List Award Winner

Such an honor! I’m grateful to St. Louis Magazine for naming me the “Fashionista to  Follow” in its 2020 A-List awards, a celebration of the region’s best. I’m so thrilled. Of course, I had to share the great news with you because your support allows me to do the work I do here. So, thank you! In today’s look, I’m sharing another H&M find. I don’t know what happened in the style department at H&M, but they’re coming for everybody. Their selections have gotten so good that I check H&M first when I have a style need. Right now, I’m rebuilding my dress collection.

What I’m wearing:

Dress | Sandals | Earrings | Lip: Fenty Gloss Bomb”$weetmouth”

This dress, which was initially released in a light beige color, recently became available in a bright pink and orange. Those color options gave me the push I needed to add-to-cart. The 30% off coupon I had at the time of ordering helped too.

When it arrived, it was everything I had hoped it would be. The fabric (100% cotton) feels amazing. The plunging v-neck is super low but not too low that you can’t wear a bra. Puffed sleeves. Flared skirt. What’s not to love?

Sizing? I’m wearing the dress in a size small (my usual H&M size). I’m confident, though, that I could size down to an extra small, which would cinch the elasticized waist just a tad more. Since this dress has a voluminous fit, that detail is mostly inconsequential.

Thanks again to St. Louis Magazine for the amazing A-List honor. Be sure to check out the article here.

Summer’s Most Comfortable Dress Trend

Summer officially begins this weekend. If you’re like me, you’ve already found yourself switching to dresses. It’s so hot, and dresses are easy and breezy, especially a strappy, flowy maxi dress. In today’s post, I’m sharing a favorite maxi dress from the just-launched Gibson x Hi Sugarplum Summer Collection. If you find something you like in the collection , use code PSYCHE25 to get 25% off your order.

I instantly fell in love with this version of the Cabana maxi dress (it comes in 4 print/colorways). The navy blue base with print accent at the top and down the middle make this dress so classic and interesting. The great thing about a classic maxi dress is I can rock it this summer and for many summers to come. It’ll always look fresh.

Sizing? I’m wearing this dress in a PXS. In my experience, Gibson items tend to run large, so if uncertain about a size, go down. I usually opt for XS. I experimented with the petite version of this dress because I’m 5’4″ and want the option to wear the dress with flats. It fits perfectly.

Seriously, simply slipping on this maxi dress made me feel like I was on a summer vacation. I was only going to Ikea, but it’s about the feeling, right? Ha.

My sandals are from Zara. I purchased them to fill a need for a white sandal. This pair is ecru and the texture and materials, an animal embossed upper, is not only stunning but easy to keep clean.

The Happiest Summer Colors To Lift Your Spirit And Style

Color your summer! There are so many beautiful IT colors of summer this year. From vibrant greens to candy pinks to bold oranges, standing out in your favorite color is the way to go. You’ll know your color when you see it. I was innocently browsing H&M’s online store, and I glimpsed the turquoise dress I’m wearing today. It has one of the happiest summer colors. How could I resist?

When I see turquoise, I think of summer. The blue-green hue reminds of the ocean. It makes me feel free. So, this dress? I added-it-to-cart with a quickness.

H&M is taking forever to ship packages right now. That’s frustrating. And, if you see something you like, you’ve got to buy it quickly because items are selling out fast. Their online experience needs some work, but they’ve stepped up their styles this year.

This dress has an oversized, swingy silhouette. It’s lightweight, breathable fabric makes it an easy choice for summer as well. It has long sleeves, which I rolled up.
